Who this policy covers
SiamMeet operates the SiamMeet mobile service, public website, and moderation tools described here. This policy applies to people who visit the website, create an account, use discovery or social features, contact support, or submit an account-deletion request.
Data we collect
- Account data: email address, password hash, account status, sign-in and security records, policy-acceptance timestamps, and subscription entitlement status when paid features are enabled.
- Profile data: display name, date of birth, age, gender, people you want to meet, relationship intent, selected city, languages, residency status, biography, interests, prompts, occupation, education, height, and visibility preferences.
- Media and content: profile photos, voice or video introductions, posts, stories, comments, reactions, and messages you choose to create. Media can include technical metadata supplied by the device.
- Connection and activity data: likes, passes, matches, follows, profile views, blocks, conversation participation, notification preferences, device push tokens, presence, and last-active time.
- Safety data: reports, the reported content or account context, automated risk signals, moderation decisions, review notes, and evidence needed to investigate abuse, fraud, or child-safety concerns.
- Technical data: IP address and request information recorded by service infrastructure, app version, device/platform information, security events, and diagnostic records when monitoring is enabled.
- Public website measurement: daily totals for a small, fixed set of page views and button interactions. These aggregate events do not contain cookies, account identifiers, IP addresses, URLs, referrers, user-agent strings, or free-text fields.
- Support and deletion requests: the email address, reason, details, correspondence, verification steps, and outcome of a request.
SiamMeet discovery uses the city you choose in your profile. The core browse and chat experience does not require precise device location.
Why we use data
- Create and secure accounts, enforce the 18+ rule, and maintain authenticated sessions.
- Show profiles and user-generated content according to visibility settings; support discovery, matching, messaging, social features, and notifications.
- Calculate profile completeness and compatibility signals, and sort or filter discovery results.
- Review profile content and media, investigate reports, prevent spam and scams, enforce community rules, and protect members and the service.
- Provide support, process access or deletion requests, restore service, diagnose errors, measure reliability, understand aggregate public-site journeys, and maintain security.
- Manage subscription access through the applicable app store and subscription provider when paid features are enabled.
We do not sell member profile data. SiamMeet does not use a profile-review badge to certify a person's legal identity.
How data is shared
Your visible profile and approved public content are shared with other members according to the feature and your settings. Messages are shared with conversation participants. Reports are not shown to the reported member except where disclosure is necessary to handle a dispute or required process.
Specialist providers may process limited data to run SiamMeet. Provider categories include cloud hosting and databases, media storage and delivery, push notifications, app distribution, subscription and payment entitlement services, operational monitoring, and safety/support tooling. App stores and payment providers process purchases under their own terms; SiamMeet does not receive full payment-card details.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to respond to valid legal process, protect a person from imminent harm, investigate child sexual abuse or exploitation, prevent fraud, or protect the rights and security of members and SiamMeet.
Retention and deletion
- Account and profile data is generally kept while the account is active and for the time needed to complete a requested account action.
- Member media is kept while needed for the feature or moderation state. When account deletion completes, live uploaded profile, post, story, and introduction files linked only to that account are removed from active media storage.
- After account deletion, profile identifiers and user-generated content are deleted, de-identified, or replaced where needed to keep another member's conversation or safety record understandable.
- Limited safety, fraud, block, report, moderation, and security records may be retained in anonymized or minimized form when reasonably necessary to prevent repeat abuse, handle a dispute, protect members, or meet a legal obligation. Minimal identifiers proving which reportable item a member actually viewed are scheduled for deletion after 90 days by default; a legally approved retention schedule may require that period to be shortened or otherwise adjusted before launch.
- Deletion-request records may be kept long enough to verify and document completion. Residual copies may remain temporarily in ordinary backup rotation before being overwritten.
- Aggregate public website event totals are retained for up to 24 months. They cannot be used to reconstruct an individual visitor's activity.
Retention depends on the record and reason it is needed. SiamMeet reviews retained data and removes or de-identifies it when that purpose ends.
Your choices and requests
- Review and correct profile information in the app.
- Change discovery visibility, incognito options where available, and notification preferences.
- Delete individual content where the feature provides that control, or block another member.
- Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of information associated with your account, subject to verification and applicable limits.
- Withdraw from optional processing by changing the relevant setting. This does not undo processing already completed.
Use the authenticated in-app account controls when available. You can also submit a web deletion request. Other help channels are described on the Support page.
Security and changes
SiamMeet uses access controls, authentication, moderation permissions, and operational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access or loss. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and report suspected account access promptly.
If this policy changes materially, SiamMeet will update the effective date and provide an in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after a change is subject to the updated policy, but new consent will be requested when the change requires it.
